Corona in Serbia: Public transport officially abolished

As of March 21st, public transport in Serbia has been officially abolished, except for employees.

Across the state, public transport emergency lines are reserved only for medical staff and those who cannot work from home. These are not ordinary lines, but corridor lines that connect certain parts of the city to the most vital institutions and to use it, employees must have a paid ticket and a working order issued by the employer for each working day (especially because of the curfew). Since employers are obliged to resolve employees’ working status during the state of emergency and bear the costs of those commuting to/from work, many clients have already made a deal with local public transport companies to ensure that their employees will be able to come.
