Pune, 28 December 2020: On Friday the 18th December 2020; Rödl & Partner signed a Memorandum of Understanding ("MoU") with Guidance Tamil Nadu. With this MoU Rödl & Partner and Guidance Tamil Nadu are looking forward to a fruitful cooperation to further promote Tamil Nadu as an excellent location for German Mittelstand companies. The signing ceremony was presided over by The Consul General of Germany, Ms. Karin Stoll and representatives from the German companies Eickhoff Group and Baettr Group.
Rödl & Partner and Guidance Tamil Nadu are working together since January 2020 and have established in a short period a powerful business collaboration. Both support each other as a team for investments in Tamil Nadu and therefore were able to help several German companies with their investment in Tamil Nadu.

Guidance is Tamil Nadu's nodal agency for investment promotion and single window facilitation under the Government of Tamil Nadu. Guidance Tamil Nadu is focused to find potential investors and at the same time, convert MOUs into actual investments. During 2020 Tamil Nadu has signed a total of 74 MoUs with an investment volume of approx. INR 61,474 crore (EUR 7.232 million) and an employment commitment of over 100,000 jobs.
Tamil Nadu, located on the south-eastern coast of India, is an excellent location for foreign direct investment. Due to its economy friendly policies, it has witnessed spectacular economic growth for decades. Chennai is one of the three most important locations in India for the international automotive industry and in addition has also successfully managed to attract well-known companies in the mechanical engineering, information technology, automotive and service sectors. As part of the recently intensified business-friendly policy, Tamil Nadu offers a platform especially for companies from the renewable energy and e-mobility sector. The good infrastructure and, above all, the connection through three seaports, very much facilitated the economic growth and brings an excellent environment especially for manufacturing companies. Therefore, Tamil Nadu has high potential as an investment location for the German Mittelstand.
