Bielefeld

Bielefeld with a population of more than 320,000 is the largest city in the region of Ostwestfalen-Lippe. Formerly famous as a linen-weaving city, today Bielefeld is characterised by dynamic foods and mechanical engineering industries. The region of Ostwestfalen-Lippe which also corresponds to the administrative district of Detmold, has in total more than 2 million inhabitants and today boasts numerous German medium-sized companies.
