The successful development of the M&A division at Rödl & Partner proceeds apace. This is impressively docu­men­ted by 320 transactions advised by Rödl & Partner in the financial year 2021. Thus, we not only continued our high number of transactions from the time before Corona, when we advised on 313 transactions in 2019, until then our best year, but even surpassed it.

 

For the first time in many years, there were significant movements within the target companies‘ industries. While the undisputed number one was still companies from the traditional industrial sectors, in the top three for the first time and in joint second place were companies from the services sector, whose share in 2021 at 17 per cent was significantly up on the previous year (10 per cent). Companies from the „TMT“ sectors (previously already No. 2) were able to increase slightly by 1 per cent compared to the previous year. „Energy“ stayed in fourth place.
