Palma de Mallorca is the capital of the island of Mallorca and the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. With a population of around 419,000 (2021), it is the eighth largest city in Spain and the largest in the Balearic Islands.

Palma is located in the western part of the Mediterranean, in the southwest of the island of Mallorca, about 250 km east of the Iberian Peninsula with ferry connections to Barcelona. During the 20th century, the city experienced an explosion in tourism and is now an important economic and cultural centre for the island and the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands.

The main drivers of the Balearic economy are tourism and construction, while industry and agriculture, livestock and fishing have taken a back seat.

Following a decline in tourism as a result of the pandemic, consumption and the number of jobs in a wide range of sectors are expected to increase significantly over the coming years.

In 2018, the Balearic Islands' GDP constituted 11.6 per cent of the national GDP.

From our office in Mallorca, we provide our clients with interdisciplinary services (legal, tax, BPO and audit) in close cooperation with our offices in Madrid and Barcelona, aided not least by the Balearic capital's excellent connections with mainland Spain. Our local staff are multilingual and very familiar with the Spanish, German and Anglo-Saxon cultures and languages.

Our Palma de Mallorca office is located close to the airport and therefore has excellent transport links.
